About Jennifer Wilson
The Full Story
Long ago and far away, before modern technology invaded the classroom, instead of staring at a cellphone, I was one of those students who secretly doodled under my desk. Never lost the inclination. Years later, as an elementary teacher, I even taught Visual Arts among other subjects.

Now retired, I have been pursuing my own art more seriously. Have studied with a number of well-known artists from Florida to Ontario but I continue to follow that learning curve, always exploring new ideas and techniques, new tools and materials. My work reflects personal experiences, places I've traveled, and memories of times past. Hoping that you will enjoy the fruits of my labour in recent years.
Mission & Vision
As a young kid, I would sometimes play in the woods with friends. A solitary soul by nature, I would sneak away for a few minutes to listen to wind in the trees, birds or running water nearby. My art is an expression of places I've seen, memories and experiences I've had, the beauty of natural deterioration over time. I love colour. I enjoy focussing on the unnoticed, the ironic, the abandoned, or the long undisturbed. I want to share these impressions.
The future is ripe with the promise of new adventues, new locations, new ideas to try. I invite you to check in now and then and see what I've been doing!
